Garbage screen

Possible cause: Broken ROM

Fix:

• Burn a new ROM chip.
• I only had 2732 chips so made an adapter to fit it in the 2532 sockets of the PET.

Possible cause: Reset circuit broken (RES on the 6502 stays low)

Fix:

• Replace the 555 timer chip and its capacitors.

Screen jittery

Possible cause: Broken/damaged potentiometer

Fix:

• Replace it.

Possible cause: Broken solder joints

Fix:

• Inspect and fixt joints
